On Saturday, June 28, Israeli occupation forces entered the town of Kodna in southern Quneitra countryside and conducted a search operation at one of the houses, according to the Syrian Alikhbaria channel.

A local activist and media figure from Quneitra province, who preferred to remain anonymous for security reasons, stated that the Israeli occupation forces also advanced on the outskirts of the town of Beit Jinn in western Damascus on Friday, June 27, setting up a barrier there before retreating. He noted that they had penetrated Beit Jinn twice, withdrawing during the past week.

He added that on Friday, the occupation forces advanced in the town of al-Samdaniyah in Quneitra countryside, erected barriers, and spread on the rooftops of houses, in addition to raiding and searching several homes there.

Israel is also deploying patrols and checkpoints along the Jubata al-Khashab road in northern Quneitra countryside.

On June 23, Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man from the town of Kodna in southern Quneitra, and prior to that, they arrested another young man on June 17 after a fight between him and the Israeli forces. He was taken to the base located west of Jubata al-Khashab forest and then to an undisclosed location within the occupied territories, and he has not been released yet.

Israel continues its violations in Quneitra countryside through penetration operations, bulldozing activities, and the kidnapping of civilians in border villages adjacent to the occupied Golan Heights.

On June 17, Israeli forces destroyed ten houses in the town of al-Hamidiyah in the province’s countryside after warning their owners to evacuate under the pretext of their proximity to a base that was established recently.

According to Enab Baladi sources, Israel has completely taken control of the al-Mantra dam in the western countryside of the province, and a checkpoint has been established on the dam to prevent locals from approaching it.

Only the responsible employee for the dam is allowed to enter to open water for the residents at certain times, according to the source, who indicated that the occupation forces have begun their control over the Ruwaihina dam.

They also assaulted journalists on June 16 while covering the damages in Quneitra province due to the remnants and debris of Iranian-Israeli missiles and drones following the last war that broke out between Israel and Iran.

Both journalist Nader Dabo (Abu Maan al-Horani) correspondent for the “963+” newspaper and media activist Noor Jolan were pursued and interrogated while covering the downing of Iranian drones inside Syrian territory and documenting the damages inflicted on civilians in Quneitra province in southern Syria on June 14.

The Syrian Journalists Association condemned the treatment of the two journalists in a statement on June 15, strongly denouncing the “serious and repeated violations committed by the Israeli army against journalists inside Syrian territory,” calling for an independent international investigation to ensure accountability for the perpetrators of the violations.

According to the association, these violations amount to crimes under international humanitarian law and constitute a blatant attack on press freedom, violating Articles “79” and “51” of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions, which guarantees special protection for journalists during armed conflicts.
